Installation of a fully automated audio-visual (AV) solution in Sir Richard Branson’s new private home on Necker Island.
The brief was relatively straightforward – to design and install a customized system that would complement and enhance Sir Richard’s lifestyle, be extremely simple to use whilst remaining discreet and harmonious with the materials and style of the buildings. The execution, however, was not without significant logistical and environmental challenges to overcome. The two major challenges were managing the logistics of operating on an island and ensuring that the hardware could withstand the rigours of the harsh Caribbean environment.
Installation of an audio-visual control system in the first private villa to be completed at Oil Nut Bay, a luxury community in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
Think Simple installed a simple to control audio and visual control system at Beach Villa 3, the first home to be completed at the exclusive Oil Nut Bay resort. Located right on the beach on the remote island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, the design team had to overcome significant environmental, power and logistical challenges. Crestron hardware and system processors were used throughout with Remote Technologies (RTi) handhelds for local control.
